This app was built out of a desire for two things: to help the church pray more faithfully, and to build community through prayer.
It began slowly, with a longing for our church to be a praying church, one that relies on God and bears one another’s burdens. For years we set aside intentional time during our services to simply stop and pray. Not just someone leading from the front, but real, quiet moments where the whole church could focus on praying for our people, our needs, and our mission. Often we’d ask everyone to look around the room and find one person to pray for.
One morning, our young adult pastor J.D. wouldn’t let anyone off the hook. He made everyone pick someone out. And it was in that moment the idea came to me. The next service, right in the middle of preaching, I said it out loud: “I wish we had an app that could match us up to pray for each other every week.”
My son Aiden, who just happens to be a Data Science major and a programmer, was listening. When we got home he said, “I think that’s a good idea. And I think I can build it for you.”
That kicked off a few weeks of planning out every feature we have now, with more still to come. Then he poured hundreds of hours into coding and developing this tool, and we started testing it in our church as soon as we could.
We couldn’t be more pleased. It has truly brought our church together. We’ve watched our community grow, seen the name of Christ honored, and seen people grow in their faith, genuinely excited to lift one another up in prayer. It has been an incredible resource for our church, and we pray it will be the same for yours.
